Request a free workup

Not every deal earns the check.

Find what is wrong with the deck before you wire the money.

Forward the deck email, or upload the PDF. You get a verdict, a scored workup across eight weighted dimensions, the deck's claims checked against public sources, and the questions to put to the founder. When the wire instructions arrive, AngelSift checks them against the account you saved. Your first workup is free.

AI analysis · published weights · fixed gates · every finding shows its source.

One email when your access is ready.

No one at AngelSift opens your deck or your workup as a matter of course.

How it works

  1. Send the deck.

Forward the email, or upload the PDF as it arrived.

  2. Angel reads and scores it.

Eight weighted dimensions. The deck's claims checked against public sources.

  3. Make your own call with the verdict in hand.

Checks out, partly checks out, or doesn't check out, with the risks and the questions to put to the founder.

You are doing a fund's job with no fund behind you.

The deck

It is polished. Every number points up.

A founder sends a deck. It is confident and clean, the market is enormous and the margins are beautiful. You have seen twenty this quarter. Somewhere in the gloss is the one thing that should stop you, and you have an evening, not an analyst, to find it.

The wire

The banking details come through email.

You are in. The account details arrived last week. Now they arrive again, re-sent with updated banking info. It looks like the same account. Whether it is, down to every digit, is something you check by squinting. You send $150,000 and spend the next hour telling yourself it was fine.

Both moments need the same thing: a second look before you act. AngelSift gives you one for the deck and one for the wire.

Why not paste the deck into a chatbot, or ask a friend?

A chatbot
It reads the deck you give it and tends to agree with it. No fixed rubric, no published weights, no outside research unless you ask for it, and nothing you can trace back to a source.
A friend
Knows the space, maybe. Has an evening, rarely. Tells you what they think, not what the deck can prove, and you cannot ask them twenty times a year.
A platform or syndicate lead
Brought you the deal, and does well when it closes. Useful, but not a second opinion without a stake in the answer.
A quick-scan tool
Free, or about $10 to $20 a month, and often sold to founders polishing a deck. A fast score from the deck's own words, not a check of its claims against outside sources.
AngelSift
The same eight weighted dimensions on every deck, fixed gates, the deck's claims checked against outside evidence, and every finding traced to its source. Then the questions to put to the founder. AngelSift is paid by you and takes no cut of any deal. Read the sample and check it yourself.

Eight dimensions on the deck. Every digit on the wire.

What the workup contains

Every dimension is scored against written criteria for each score band. Claims that outside research contradicts are flagged, and ones it could not check are marked Not checked. The same rubric, applied the same way, to every deck you send.

Fixed weights, fixed gates. The same rubric on every deck.

This scorecard is decision-support analysis: not investment advice, an offer, or a solicitation. It does not connect to, monitor, hold, stop, or move funds in any account.

The rubric, in the open

The weights are published because a score you cannot inspect is an opinion with a number on it. They do not change between decks. When they change at all, the version stamp on every workup changes with them.

Team and Market Opportunity carry 48 of the 100. At this stage, those two weigh the most.

The wire check

Check the account before you send the money.

The first time you pay someone, save their account details for that deal. When new payment instructions arrive, paste them in exactly as you received them. AngelSift compares them with what you saved and marks the digits that differ, or flags a number of a different length. It never connects to your bank and cannot move money: you decide, and you send the wire yourself.

In 2025 the FBI recorded (PDF, opens in a new tab) $3.05 billion lost to business email compromise: fake or altered payment instructions sent by email.

Your first workup is free.

You are the investment committee.

You exited something, you run something, or you earn enough to put real money to work. There is no analyst, no committee, no second signature: just you, a deck, and your gut. The decision stays yours. This puts the evidence in front of you first.

Your materials stay yours.

Decks
Decks you upload are used only to give you the service: your workup, and Angel's answers when you ask about that deal. They are not sold, and they are not used to train anything, not by us and not by the providers that run the service for us.
Wire check
The wire check evaluates only the details you enter and the counterparties you have saved. No bank connection, no account access. It cannot see, hold, or move funds.
Waitlist
The waitlist keeps your email, when you joined, which list you joined, and the link that brought you here. We delete it once we have sent the email we owe you.
