How to tell it's really AngelSift
People who check wire instructions are exactly who scammers like to copy. Here is how to know a message is really from us.
We never:
- send the first direct message on X or any other app;
- ask you to send money, pay an invoice, or share a bank or card number by email or message;
- give you payment instructions or wire details. AngelSift checks wire instructions; it never sends them.
Angel never does any of those either. Angel is AngelSift's AI character, run by Connor Fenn. Her bio says it: "AngelSift's AI character, run by Connor Fenn. I never DM first or ask for money. Is it really us? angelsift.com/real"
Before you wire money for any deal, confirm the details by calling a number you already know, never one in the email. That holds even when AngelSift's check finds nothing wrong.
